The Equities Trading Data and Analytics (DNA) team is a key part of the wider Global Markets Technology team and is aligned with the Electronic, High-Touch & Portfolio Trading Equity Technology teams. The teams develop and maintain software for the Equities Trading business, providing innovative solutions all of which either rely on, or produce, highly available real-time and historical data.  The tech teams work very closely and collaboratively with each other and the Equities business.

The Data and Analytics (DNA) team designs, develops and maintains high-throughput, high-availability systems for real-time capture, distribution and retention of vast amounts of market data and order and execution data, across the Equities Trading business.  The team is based mostly in Singapore with responsibility across the APAC region and ensures the smooth running of the various plants and the availability and distribution of data, reports and analytics to regulatory reporting standards.

The Position:

This position is for a well-rounded developer with experience of working with users and technology teams to design, develop, deploy and support processes that ensure Data Quality of complex business data.  You will have worked in a large organization, ideally a bank or similar and be familiar with the processes required to put solutions into Production.  If you have worked extensively with SQL and Linux scripting/orchestration, with some front-end development or data visualization, that would be ideal.

• Enhance DQ reporting for Hong Kong equities regulatory reporting (SFC’s DSOL) by consolidating existing reporting into a common reporting mechanism. Potentially this may be extended to web-based delivery.
• Develop a DQ data repair framework and orchestration of SQL-based repair scripts.
• Develop and extend our systems for performance, maintenance, and new functionality as part of new initiatives and continual support and development of existing functionality.
• Communicate and discuss with Business Owners on specifications.
• Provide our support team and our users with Level 2 support both technically and functionally.
• Acquire a level of expertise in Equities Trading data and its uses.

Requirements:

• Min 5 years of professional database development experience
• Proficient in SQL, data modeling, query tuning and optimization
• Extensive knowledge and hands on experience with SQL writing queries, functions and stored procedures
• Hands on with Linux scripting
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Release Management
• Ability to work under pressure, facilitate discussions and conduct group meetings
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and integrity
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or similar required
